Taking care of our employees is a top priority at Cambia whether we’re navigating a once-in-a-lifetime pandemic or during more typical times. Workplace well-being is at the core of our culture, so we’re especially honored to have recently been ranked in the top 50 employers in Healthiest Employers’ 2022 Healthiest 100 Workplaces in America – up 20 spots from last year.
This award was created by Springbuk to honor people-first organizations that prioritize the well-being of their employee population. Award applicants are evaluated across six key categories: culture and leadership, foundational components, strategic planning, communication and marketing, programming and interventions, and reporting and analytics.
Our well-being program
The goal of our well-being program is to enhance the Cambia workplace experience by empowering employees to achieve their optimal well-being through innovative benefit and wellness solutions presented in a digestible, meaningful and impactful way. The three focus areas are physical, mental and financial well-being.
To address the total well-being of employees, Cambia offers a range of programs in topics including:
- Stress management
- Increasing physical activity
- Sleep education
- Metabolic health
- Mental and emotional resilience
- Lifelong healthy nutrition
Each year, our Cambia well-being team uses a variety of data to assess its current programs and design new ones to have the greatest impact on our employees and their well-being. To meet people’s diverse needs, offerings vary in format as well as topic. Programs are in-person, virtual, self-paced, ongoing and interactive.
Popular programs include mental and behavioral health support
In addition to the new and exciting initiatives provided each year, Cambia employees look forward to recurring events like the annual (and highly popular) Cambia Summer Games, a team-based steps challenge now in its 18th year. The Summer Games mix the exercise element of counting steps with the social element of being on a team and competing against other teams within the organization.
Programs that take care of your mental health have been more popular in recent years and the well-being team is meeting that need by expanding the mental health offerings. Online tools like eMLife and myStrength help employees stay connected to mental health resources anytime. These online services offer guided and live mindfulness sessions, behavioral health self-assessments and programs for issues like managing stress and anxiety. Other popular well-being programs include “Ask a Chef” videos on nutrition and cooking and live online yoga sessions. There is something for everyone and every need.
Offering in-person and virtual well-being options
When the pandemic began, Cambia quickly adjusted the way we did almost everything. The well-being team shifted to online only and expanded its content to help employees stay connected. The new reality required the well-being team to be nimble and innovative. The well-being team began holding daily webinars and live online fitness sessions to address increased emotional and physical well-being concerns brought on by the early part of the pandemic. Some of our programs will go offline now that we can be back in person, but many others will remain virtual to allow employees, especially those spread out geographically, to participate.
Working to make health care easier and lives better for everyone
The Cambia workplace goes beyond award-winning well-being programs and support. Employees work with and learn from diverse teams building innovative solutions that are changing the way people experience health care. Cambia also offers competitive salaries, generous benefits packages and other total rewards. Interested candidates can learn more at cambiahealth.com and explore our careers page for open positions.
