Through work on nonprofit boards, community service and charitable donations, Cambia employees demonstrate their generosity year-round. At the end of each year, Cambia Health Foundation hosts the "Celebration of Giving" to help employees end the year with a bang. Starting on Giving Tuesday (Nov. 28) through Dec. 1, our corporate foundation and social responsibility team coordinated volunteer opportunities, shared inspirational stories, and provided a limited-time 100% match on employee donations.
This year’s Celebration of Giving resulted in $518,000 in charitable contributions and 2,800 volunteer hours tracked, impacting 1,520 nonprofits. The Foundation works to make it easier for Cambia employees to make an impact on causes that matter most to them. In addition to the Foundation’s donation match program, they also give employees $20 for each tracked volunteer hour to direct to a nonprofit organization of their choice.
Cambia employees are passionate about many causes like helping animals, supporting youth and addressing food insecurity. In 2023, the organizations where the highest number of employees donated were Best Friends Animal Society, Food Lifeline, The Idaho Foodbank, Lewis Clark Animal Shelter, Mary’s Place, Oregon Food Bank, Oregon Humane Society and Utah Food Bank.
“At Cambia Health Foundation, we foster opportunities for Cambia employees to get involved in the communities we serve by supporting their volunteerism with our Dollars for Doers program or offering a year-round 50% match on their financial donations to causes that matter to them,” said Peggy Maguire, president of Cambia Health Foundation. “A special opportunity is the annual employee giving campaign which, this year, included a 100% match from the Foundation on all contributions made by employees – and I’m happy to share that we more than doubled the dollars donated this year compared to last year!”
