It’s estimated there will be 72.1 million seniors in the U.S. by 2030, more than twice the number in 2000. These seniors have an increasing need for proactive health care solutions to address their overall health, and to provide options for continued independent living. According to the newly released StartUp Health Mid-Year 2015 report, Cambia Health Solutions is this year’s top investor in the senior services space, and number five overall in health care venture investment.
This comes on the heels of Cambia’s release of their Strategic Investment Charter, a call on the investment community to redefine strategic investment in health care.
“Cambia continues to look for companies focused on helping us achieve our company’s mission to make the health care system more consumer focused and economically sustainable,” said Cambia Senior Vice President of Strategic Investment and Corporate Development Rob Coppedge. “We have implemented an investment strategy enabling us to innovate a better health care experience based on the needs of tomorrow’s consumer. Strategic investors, who under the complex challenges of health care, have the opportunity to work together to create a better health care industry.
