Rep. Earl Blumenauer, who represents Oregon’s 3rd Congressional District, including Cambia’s corporate headquarters in Portland, joined employees for an in-person town hall on May 3. After being introduced by Cambia CEO Jared Short, the congressman shared federal policy updates and answers employee questions. The robust conversation covered a range of topics and critical issues facing our community. This included Oregon’s housing and homelessness crisis, growing behavioral health care needs, and the impact of social determinants of health like nutrition, transportation and more.
A common theme throughout the town hall was the importance of partnerships and all of us working together to develop long-term solutions that drive more value for people. Rep. Blumenauer noted Cambia’s long history of delivering innovative health care solutions and addressing real-life needs, including our historic leadership around palliative care.
By working together with elected leaders who represent the communities we serve, Cambia remains committed to leveraging our resources and partnerships to deliver on our Cause: To serve as a catalyst to transform health care, creating a person-focused and economically sustainable health care system. We thank Rep. Blumenauer for taking time out of his busy schedule while away from D.C. to speak with and inspire our Cambia community.
