To kick off a month of PRIDE activities around Cambia’s markets and demonstrate our commitment to serving the diverse and inclusive needs of our communities, our PRIDE Employee Resource Group (PRIDE ERG) and allies joined the management of the company’s Portland headquarters building to raise a rainbow flag for the month of June.
Joining a growing number of companies, like Coca-Cola, Ikea, Verizon, and fellow Portland-based PGE holding similar events, the flag raising ceremony sought to highlight diversity and acceptance in the workplace.
Manda Bednarik, Pride ERG Co-chair, concluded the festivities with a powerful reminder of personal value. “We hope that as you come to work every day, when you see the flag, that you know that we are also seeing you. That you are supported, welcomed and valued in this world.”
