Basefit and Healthy Dining awarded funding from National Institutes of Health to advance innovative healthy eating strategies
PORTLAND – Making healthy choices while dining out can be challenging. That’s why Basefit, a Cambia Health Solutions company that offers readiness and resilience solutions to the military and commercial organizations, and Healthy Dining, the leader in restaurant nutrition services and technologies, have been awarded federal funding to develop a mobile text-based service to help.
Funded by the National Institutes of Health’s (NIH) Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) program, the project will utilize Basefit’s SMS technology and Healthy Dining’s restaurant nutrition data to deliver personalized text messages with recommendations for nearby healthy restaurant menu options to military personnel.
