HealthSparq, the leading provider of integrated healthcare transparency solutions, announced today a new addition to its portfolio of customers, WINhealth. WINhealth is a not-for-profit managed care company that offers comprehensive plans for individuals, families, and groups, providing the tools and resources to help members take control of their own health.
HealthSparq will now further empower healthcare shopping on the WINhealth site by partnering to offer cost estimation tools for treatments and services.
“This cost estimator solution from HealthSparq is exactly what we need to provide better value to our current members and to help us compete in the upcoming healthcare exchanges,” said Stephen K. Goldstone, president and CEO of WINhealth. “We want to be the premier healthcare management company for residents of Wyoming and surrounding states, and to do this we have to offer cutting-edge technology, like HealthSparq’s, that supports the needs of our members.”
HealthSparq’s Treatment and Service Cost Estimators give WINhealth’s 10,000 members access to information that will help them make decisions that impact the cost of the care they receive, including their own out-of-pocket costs based on their individual benefits plan.
“WINhealth’s leadership team is committed to finding opportunities that can provide better service and help its members manage the cost of premiums through preventive care,” said Scott Decker, president of HealthSparq. “The HealthSparq transparency solutions achieve both of these objectives while also contributing to an overall effort to decrease healthcare costs.”
Specifically, WINhealth’s members will have the following functionality through software powered by HealthSparq:
- HealthSparq Cost: Provides detailed out-of-pocket estimates and comparisons for common treatments, visits and services from pre-treatment to post-treatment.
Since launching over a year ago, HealthSparq has contracted with 17 health plans across 22 states that together provide coverage to more than 33 million consumers.
