HealthSparq, a leading healthcare transparency solutions provider, announced today that one of the largest non-profit health plans in New York is the latest to join its portfolio of customers.
HealthSparq offers software solutions that health insurers can make available on their member websites to empower healthcare shopping. So far the company has contracted with 15 health plans across 20 states that together provide coverage to over 30 million consumers.

Specifically, the New York health plan will offer members the following functionality through software powered by HealthSparq:
- HealthSparq Cost: Provides detailed out-of-pocket estimates and comparisons for common treatments, visits and services from pre-treatment to post-treatment.
- HealthSparq Provider Search: Similar to online shopping, this tool enables consumers to quickly search, sort and filter for medical providers by a variety of criteria, and view details relevant to decision making based on what one values.
- HealthSparq Reviews: Patients can read and write ratings and comments about medical providers in a trusted community. Providers can also respond to patient comments to provide a more complete review of the experience.
