William Krenz drives the strategy, operational and financial effectiveness, and sustainable growth of Cambia’s government programs. As a seasoned health care executive, William leads teams dedicated to improving health care experiences for members across the company’s Medicare and Federal Employee Programs lines of business.
He joined Cambia in 2023 with more than 20 years of health care leadership experience. Before Cambia, William most recently served as a senior vice president for Optum, where he launched the OptumCare Network in Washington and started national operations for OptumCare.. He also served as the vice president of operations and production services for Blue Shield of California and executive vice president and chief administrative officer of Medicare Advantage operations for Universal American Corporation.
William graduated from the College of Wooster with a bachelor’s degree in sociology and holds a Master of Health Administration from Xavier University. He also held appointments in the graduate business schools of Johns Hopkins and University of California Irvine.
