American Hearing Benefits nationwide network enables SpendWell consumers to access hearing professionals.
SpendWell HealthTM, an e-commerce marketplace for health care services, has signed an agreement with American Hearing Benefits®, a national network of hearing professionals making it easy to achieve an improved quality of life through better hearing.
SpendWell is building a nationwide e-commerce marketplace to give insured consumers a way to shop for and purchase quality routine health care services at competitive prices. The marketplace gives providers an opportunity to expand their business and treat more direct pay patients with no financial risk.
“SpendWell’s e-commerce solution is the perfect complement to American Hearing Benefits,” said Dan Quall, Managing Director of American Hearing Benefits. “We believe that everyone should have easy access to professional hearing consultants. SpendWell creates this accessibility.”
As high-deductible health plan adoption continues to grow, consumers bear more responsibility for their health care costs. As a result, employers are exploring platforms like SpendWell to help their employees manage their health care spending, while still receiving quality care.
“American Hearing Benefits’ commitment to improving the quality of life through better hearing underscores SpendWell’s commitment to providing high-quality providers and services nationwide,” said Marcee Chmait, President of SpendWell. “Adding hearing professionals and their associated services to SpendWell’s marketplace helps fulfill our mission of transforming how people shop and pay for health care.”
Shopping with SpendWell is simple. Consumers search for health care providers and services, determine their out-of-pocket costs for services and pay online for selected services prior to their appointment. After the patient’s appointment, providers simply click to verify services and SpendWell releases the patient’s payment.
SpendWell’s marketplace will enable consumers to conveniently shop for a variety of routine health care services—including primary care, urgent care, imaging, alternative care, behavioral health and more.
