CHICAGO – Retrofit, the outcomes-driven weight loss program with real-time data reporting, announced today that it has named corporate wellness veteran Mary Pigatti as its Chief Executive Officer. Pigatti comes to Retrofit from Limeade, with more than 25 years of experience helping grow early stage companies into high-performance healthcare and wellness leaders with the highest levels of customer engagement and satisfaction.
“I joined Retrofit because our weight loss outcomes are truly remarkable. With human resources and employee benefit leaders demanding an effective corporate weight loss solution, the growth potential for Retrofit is unlimited,” said Pigatti. “We don’t just change lives…. We save lives. I’m so eager to bring this transformative program to millions of people.”
“Retrofit’s unique technology impacts people’s lives by delivering outcomes, not only for individuals who participate, but also for employers that need to reduce healthcare and productivity costs.”
Corporate Retrofit clients include Google, Salesforce.com, Robert W. Baird and more of the nation’s top companies listed in Fortune’s Top 100 Best Companies to Work For. Under Pigatti’s leadership, Retrofit aims to expand its reach with more enterprise partners across the country.
“Retrofit is thrilled to have Mary help take us to the next level. Her proven track record of driving growth and customer engagement in the healthcare industry is invaluable as we scale and deliver a much-needed targeted solution for corporate weight loss,” said Retrofit Founder Jeffrey Hyman, who has been named Chairman of the company’s board of directors.
Retrofit is a science-based approach that combines wireless technology with support from multi-disciplinary certified wellness experts. The corporate weight loss company provides registered dietitians, exercise physiologists, and behavior coaches to help clients lose weight and live healthier lifestyles.
Recent data shows that programs aimed at reducing healthcare costs, increasing productivity, decreasing absenteeism and increasing job satisfaction are well worth the investment. In fact, ROI calculations prove that implementing wellness programs showed an average return of $1.38 for every dollar invested.
Prior to joining Retrofit, Pigatti served as Senior Vice President, Operations & Customer Delight of Limeade, Inc., a corporate wellness technology company that recently raised $25 million in Series C financing. Earlier, Pigatti served as Vice President/General Manager of Johnson & Johnson’s Wellness & Prevention subsidiary. She also held the position of Vice President of Sales at Ceridian, following a successful career with United Health’s Optum division. Pigatti holds a Bachelors degree from Marquette University and a Masters in Social Work degree from Loyola University.
Rob Coppedge, Senior Vice President, Strategic investment and Corporate Development at Cambia Health Solutions, an investor in Retrofit, said he believes employers are realizing how foundational sustainable weight loss outcomes are to their employee wellness and productivity initiatives. “We are confident Mary is just the leader to bring this next generation approach to personalized health and wellness to the market. She has proven success working with companies to drive employee lifestyle changes and will bring that experience to Retrofit.”
