We work with entrepreneurs who are building the next generation health care system. Taking a company from an idea to market is never easy - and requires team work between entrepreneurs and their investors. No investors are better positioned to bring value to this relationship than strategic corporate investors like Cambia. However, corporate investors have a generally spotty track record of living up to this potential.
We believe that given the significant market opportunity and substantial, long-term industry need, strategic investors have an obligation to rethink our investment models and collectively raise our game. The needs are pressing and the time is now.
In the video below, I share a few thoughts on why the health care venture model is broken, how Cambia has responded to the opportunity and how strategic investors need to work together to break down the negative bias against corporate health care investment and make it clear how we – as an industry – are finally doing things differently.
We outline our investment strategy in our Cambia’s Strategic Investment Charter. We would love to hear what you think - please join the conversation on social media using #Invest4Health
