Building healthier communities is a goal we can all strive for. At Cambia, we believe so strongly in this goal we have named August as “Month of Giving.” Across the United States, all of our employees have four hours of paid time off to volunteer at any non-profit organization that focuses on improving the health of local communities. In addition, the Cambia Health Foundation will match 50 percent of any financial donation that employees make to any charitable cause.
Why does Cambia do this? One hundred years ago our company was founded in the logging camps of the Pacific Northwest. Timber workers and their families got together to pool funds to help support each other during times of illness or if medical attention was needed. To honor our 100-year heritage, our employees are encouraged to participate in events throughout the region with our strategic partners including:
